Templar Nation

The Knights Templar of Albion represent the Embassy for Templar Nation in the United Kingdom of Great Britain. Sir Nick Hall GrandMaster of the Knights Templar of Albion is the current Ambassador on behalf of Templar Nation and Lord Dr Alan R Taylor is the current Deputy Chief of Mission. About Templar Nation

Until not many years ago we have always heard of the Jewish people (at least until 1947, the year of the establishment of the State of Israel) or the Rom people or other ethnic minorities without a State.


Today, however, there is also talk of the Templar people. In the collective imagination, the Templars are the famous warrior monks who participated in the crusades and who characterized the history of at least two centuries (1118-1314).

 

In fact, the historically best known members of the Templar people were the famous Knights, but many other people revolved around them.

Historical-Juridical Outline of Templar Nation

In 1118, at the behest of the Cistercian Abbot of Clairvaux, Bernard of Fontaine-lès-Dijon (inspired by the Cistercian Abbot of Citeaux Stephen Harding), the Templar people formed in the form of a lay-monastic order and was called Pauperes Commilitones Christi Templique Salomonis. 


From this constitution the Templar people were born. Despite the various historical vicissitudes, the Templars have come to this day, gathered in one Nation, despite being dispersed in different states and with different citizenships.
 

As we have already explained, in 2018 the Regency Council elected a President and issued a Constitutional Charter creating, through the principle of self-determination of peoples, the Templar Nation.

Unrepresented United Nations

The Templar Nation has been registered with the Unrepresented United Nations - UUN since October 2018.


The main objective of the Unrepresented United Nations (UUN) is to assist and represent

Unrepresented Nations and Peoples, Under-represented Nations and Peoples, De Jure States,

De Facto States or Misrepresented Nations and Peoples, Independentist Movements, Separatist Movements, Secessionist Movements, Segregationist Movements, Indigenous Peoples, Micronations, so that they may express their position in the appropriate forums and obtain recognition, since they cannot in the United Nations.

The Governance of Templar Nation

The form of government of the Templar Nation is the Presidential Republic.
Executive power is represented by the President and his governing team, while legislative power is represented by the Regency Council.


The President is elected for a fixed term. At this stage, the President will remain in office until the Templar Nation will not have its own territory and becomes a State.


To ensure government stability, the President cannot dissolve the legislative body in advance and the Regency Council cannot impeach the President, except in the cases provided for by the Constitutional Charter.

The Diplomatic Corps

The Diplomatic Corps is the collective body of diplomats accredited to a particular Country or body.


At this stage, the Templar Nation appoints exclusively Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary and Ambassador at Large, since, as it does not have its own territory, the appointment of an Ambassador is a unilateral act and does not require reciprocal appointments.

Become a citizen of Templar Nation

The purpose of Templar Nation is to unite all the templar people under one banner, the banner of a true Nation. All the persons of good will who, for historical, ideological, cultural or religious reasons, recognize themselves in the ideals of the templar people and accept to adhere to the Constitutional Charter, can request the templar nationality.
 

Templar nationality is not incompatible with belonging to Institutions or Orders or with own citizenship. Those who have obtained the citizenship of Templar Nation receive the identification card and the certificate of nationality.
